​These clinics are designed to enhance overall player performance by improving skating, stickhandling, and shooting skills through drills that simulate game situations. I use a systematic approach that I have refined over the years to help players progress from one practice to the next. Each week, we will place a stronger emphasis on certain skills to ensure well-rounded development.

Practice focus area:

  • March: 4th, 6th - Shooting

  • March/April: 25th, 27th, 1st, and 8th - Stickhandling

  • April: 15th, 17th, 22nd and 24th - Puck protection

  • April/May: 29th, 1st, 6th, 8th - Battle drills/small area games​​​​

  • May: 13th, 15th, 20th, 22nd, 27th and 29th - Shooting

​As the Director of Sports Performance at Saddlebrook for the past nine years, Chris May has been instrumental in developing elite athletes across tennis, football, baseball, hockey, and golf. With over 15 years of professional training experience, he takes a scientific approach to performance, prioritizing athleticism as the foundation for sport-specific success. A former collegiate and professional football player, Chris holds a degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Titleist Performance Institute certified, and a USAW Level 1 Coach.
